We Gather Together To Ask The Lord's Blessing

Thank you to all my friends, heartfelt wishes for you and your loved ones for a joyous Thansgiving!

We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to His Name; He forgets not His own.

Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
Ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine;
So from the beginning the fight we were winning;
Thou, Lord, were at our side, all glory be Thine!

We all do extol Thee, Thou Leader triumphant,
And pray that Thou still our Defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation;
Thy Name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

i was thinking about white and cream today

so here it goes...

 Good white

White as the driven snow - pure, clean, innocent
White elephant - rare, valuable but perhaps unwanted
White knight - someone who comes to another person's rescue, someone perceived as being good, noble
White list - list of good or acceptable items
White sale - sale of sheets, towels, other linens
Pearly white - teeth, especially very white teeth

Bad white

Whitewash - cover up, conceal

Whiteout - zero visibility

White flag - surrender
White lightning - moonshine, illegal whiskey
White elephant - rare, valuable but perhaps unwanted
white knuckle - something that is fast, exciting, or frightening

Beige: bisque, taupe, sand, shell, sandstone, barley, oatmeal, putty, khaki, wheat, mushroom, chamois, grain, champagne, clay, pebble, fawn, almond, buff, flax, cafe au lait, Bare Beige, Cord Beige, Flax Beige, Canvas Beige,, Sandstone, Biscuit Tan, Oakleaf, Spanish Moss, Buff, Sand, Smoky Beige, French Beige, Nacre, Cream, String , Peach Beige, Sahara Sand, Praline Cream, Ancient Amber, Pearl Bisque, Buff

Dogs and cats and critters...baby deer...ohhhh! a raccoon (just not in my garbage),

                 hamsters and guinea pigs ( pets of someone else's kids) - nothing like the eyes of a 

                 dog that loves you!  My loves: Spice, Autumn, Thomas, Jasmine & Elaine.

     and babies sweet babies...

I fall in love every time I see one don't you?

Dear Lord, Thank you for the special things in my life and those of others that give us joy, peace and comfort. Allow us to take a moment to stop and savor the tender, the beauty, the fragrant, the artistic.

Please don't let us forget where all of these things originate. In Your Name - Amen.

God's Fingerprints in my life and your's ....

I happily touched base with The Rusted Chain post  today and she has a very inspiring idea! Be sure to look it up.... How do you see God's fingerprints in your life? How do I see them in mine?
Well, I see HIM in my life by continued good health after having had Kidney Cancer in June and the last two CT Scans being fine (one this week).

I see it in the animals that are so darn cute and make people happy. What joy HE has given me with my furry friends!

Children that are a gift from GOD. Prayers for children that are ill and parents that need help and guidance or financial needs in this economy. So I see HIS footprints when I can see how others are so willing to jump in and lend a hand! HE helps me care more, do more.

HIS word being the key to balancing my day and helping be more than I hoped to have been and continue to learn.

I see HIS footprints on my life every day! Thanks for reminding me!

The other site to check out with adorable garden ideas and ideas for Spring and Summer is "Cherry Hill Cottage". Makes me want to leave work and check out all the local consignment shops and thrift stores. I'm always on the look out for anything I can use in my garden and I loved a lot of her ideas.

Here we go - or should I say "here I go!". Tons of new experiences lately, most half finished. Attitude is everything! I'm busy trying to get my act together and list on Etsy. All new items just waiting to be viewed. Garden themed treasures, cards of every color, vintage items I've found along the way with friends. Yard sale season is almost here and I can't wait for warm sunny days.
