Between the Bubbles My Way! God's Fingerprints and Fabulous Friends!

MY CUP IS HALF FULL!
I am soooo excited about it being Friday, after working a full-time job, getting ready to close the Health Room for the summer, fighting with our union to keep our hours and not get them cut (WE WON!), working part-time helping my friend de-clutter and reorganize and pack up her home for a final move to Texas, planting my gardens, training Autumn, reclaiming my house from HUGE dust bunnies and well... you understand.  So - I was thinking about bubble baths and taking one!
but then my mind wandered
ooops
so then I though about all the gardening things I have to do
and began to let my my wander to books ...

   gardening

    weeding

      planting

    more weeding

   margarita

brie and crackers
spending time with my honey bunny
so no posts for the weekend ... I just plan to be me -
in Woodbine Maryland - with my pets, my yard,
a new born calf in the neighborhood,
buying a neighbor's fresh eggs, JUST ME ...THANKS TO YOU!
THE END
God's Fingerprints - that I have a hubby, furry companions,
friends, bubble baths, blogging buddies, a home, a job, can be myself and create,
and HE loves me for who I am and always will.
Through HIS grace. Amen  Jennifer

Peeking through the snow....

"Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush."
                   Doug Larson

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
                         Mark Twain

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden. Ruth Stout

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.      Anne Bradstreet

Deer Resistant Garden - Martha

This was just lovely! I watch Marht Stewart and she
assembled a gorgeous "deer resistant"
planter with an assortment of plants
that was lucious limes, blues, greens
and very easy to do.
You can look it up on her show site and try it for yourself - I know it's one of my "to do" projects.

Old Fashioned Plants

Grandma - I wish I had known I would
have wanted to have bits and pieces of your garden for mine! Hens and chickens - can't find 'em! I'm attemping plant swaps in my area but so far - no succulents to be found. I guess I'll check the catalogs and the local stores.

Now THIS is a WISTERIA in BLOOM!

Number 9 Number 9
Number 9 Number 9

YEARS!

That's how long I've been

trying to beg my very healthy

Wisteria to bloom...

give me a clue, a hint,

a reason,tell me it's over....

but I just don't understand

why this huge vine thing

won't get splendid hanging, draping, glorious blossoms!!!

And NO - I don't take it personally.

How does that Wisteria bloom!!!

promote peace on Earth

I have a wisteria vine growing on a trellis in full sun ( I live in Maryland) for 9 years. I've trimmed the vines, trimmed the leaves, snipped, clipped, hugged, fertilized, groomed, complained, begged - it's healthy as can be BUT IT WILL NOT BLOOM! Can someone please give me some idea why? Pretty please?

I'm In The Garden!!!

I can't help it! I just keep seeing photos of more and more wonderful garden ideas! I have a friend that has 5 garage buildings loaded with what she calls "junk" that she wants to take to auction so... I asked her if she by chance had any old windows or wash boards.....guess what I'm getting! Yup - both! Next is to purchase annuals for all my containers. I purchase perennials in the gently used areas of garden centers and Home Depot and Loews - my rose garden has perfect bushes I bought several years ago on the 80% sale rack simply because they didn't have a bloom on the bush. I stopped by a local garden center and they were throwing out bulbs because it was past the season - I inquired and they sold me 1500 tulip, crocus, daffodil and jonquil bulbs for $6. Killed my back planting them but the results the next year were marvelous! They're still popping up years later. Love that bargain!
