No Springs Attached! WINTER - Forget about YOU!

i'm soooo over it!
winter that is!
and these
and these too!
I want to revel at nature
see fresh new buds popping through the earth
plant flowers and watch them grow
breath deeply
blossoms, buds, blooms

and Oh, Dear Lord, the birds!

Come Peek In My Garden of Needin' - A Work In Progress

i was leaving for work this morning at 6:00 and i looked at a few of my garden areas post-winter - unattended. VERY unattended! aand i thought...hmmmm, ( i talk to moi' quite a bit )these need a pick me up - color - to POP - advice - something. so here are some of my garden views - any clues?
kitty get out of my garden tour.... sorry
these chairs were being thrown out on
the side of the road one day
a red wooden tote, step stool (i painted)
 2 spheres and tiger lilies
this one has the chicken crate
my cousin bought me as a surprise, iris,
tiger lilies,clay pots,
a basket and a funnel...i'm crazy for funnels
this section has really come along...
except it's not mine
i'd love to have a pool
a kadzillion red poppies &
fences, funnels and bird houses, garden hand tools
more funnels!!!
so HELP - I need some creative karma on
less round the trees, more spread out, what to do,
what to do?
i'll just wait in my topiary garden
until i hear from you with ideas...

Tussie Mussies - The Language of Flowers

Every sprig and blossom in each little nosegay conveys a “meaning” in the old-time language of flowers.

“Tussie-mussie” is a quaint, endearing term from the early 1400s for small, round bouquets of herbs and flowers with symbolic meanings. The word coaxes smiles from audiences I address around the country, and many people are delighted to discover this archaic custom. What application can tussie-mussies possibly have in today’s world, where women and men carrying briefcases and cellular phones have neither free hands to carry a tussie-mussie nor spare minutes to invest in antiquated customs?

Thoughtful Tuesday... Guru in the Garden

Come along with me on Thoughtful Tuesday...

where we can think about everything, or nothing or fantasy...

of being alone, thinking of a lover or cuddling with a furry friend...

bright cheery accents, flowers, fun things or fairies!
"And as it touched your cheeks so lightly
Born again you were and blushed
And we touched each other lightly
And we felt the presence of the Christ within our hearts
In the garden
And I turned to you and I said

No guru, no method, no teacher
Just you and I and nature
And the Father in the garden

Listen

No guru, no method, no teacher
Just you and I and nature
And the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost
In the garden

Wet with rain

No Guru, no method, no teacher
Just you and I and nature and the Father AND THE SON and the Holy Ghost
In that garden, in the garden, wet with rain"
       Van Morrison

White Wednesday and White Picket Fences Just for You....

this post is for you
I woke up this morning...
pulled my covers back

looked forward to a gorgeous day

and white picket fences... just for you

"Where is that white picket fence
That I painted myself in the late days of April?
Where are the daffodil mountians?
I know that they're somewhere around here by the garden."

Peeking through the snow....

"Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush."
                   Doug Larson

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
                         Mark Twain

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden. Ruth Stout

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.      Anne Bradstreet

Poof! Here I am again! I dream in yellows and greens.....

 snow days were divine

i dreamed of spring

i thought about canning

sipping wine outside with friends
herbs and flowers
i cleaned lots of dust bunnies
and I thought of Easter bunnies!
