Not A Fan Of Red For Romance...

I've never been a fan of red for romance.
I'm more of a pink girl. It's just too dramatic for me, too harsh.
Don't get me wrong, I love to see red roses in a garden. I love any color
flower in a garden. But I'm just not partial to the colors red, orange or yellow in my
decor or life. I do love daffodils, jonquils and daisy's. Orchids with yellow tones can be stunning. But I don't like decorating at Christmastime with red and green - I use pale blues, silver, creams and white. Just me.
I love dressing in it,
posies, ice cream, lipstick,
nailpolish, little girls dressed up.
it's soft, sensual, luscious, gentle, baby-like,
rich, mellow, fresh, crisp, clean

If I Fall In Love Again... I Believe In Happy Happy Endings

If I ever fall in love again...I'll appreciate all the secret moments that are in a relationship.
That excitement when he walks in the door, he comes home from work.
Even shaving can seem sensual when a woman is is love.
It's the hand holding, the look, the caress. The warmth you share.
Humor that sometimes only the two of you get.
Being yourself, but it is oh so much better when you are together. Individuality. Yet, loving that you are loved. That deep rich feeling that almost cannot be put into words.
It's breakfast in bed, and saying "goodnight", holding me when I'm sad,
being there for you when you're lost, keeping warm, sleeping in.
The warmth and caress as we embrace and say "I love you." and mean it so very much.
Oh, I know it won't be perfect. But I miss the mystery rides in the country,
driving along the coast, watching the Christmas tree glow, candles in the bedroom,
a card for no reason, baking you something just because it's Tuesday, saying "Happy
Thursday, I  Love You". I do still believe in love. I see it all around. My best friend and her husband. My friend and her fairly new husband. My cousins about to be Mr. and Mrs. My son and his wife about to have an anniversary.
I've seen dolphins leaping in the distance as I sat on the shore.
I've had the thrill of witnessing several glorious rainbows.
I've loved and lost and loved again.
The births of both of my sons was wondrous by far.
And I do believe in falling in love and happy endings.

Under The Boardwalk,,, ahhhh sweet summertime!

Oh, when the sun beats down and burns the tar up on the roof
And your shoes get so hot you wish your tired feet were fire-proof
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea, yeah
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be
(Under the boardwalk) out of the sun
(Under the boardwalk) we'll be havin' some fun
(Under the boardwalk) people walking above
(Under the boardwalk) we'll be faling in love

Under the board-walk (board-walk!)
From the park you hear the happy sound of a carousel
Mm-mm, you can almost taste the hot dogs and French fries they sell
Under the boardwalk, down by the sea
On a blanket with my baby is where I'll be
(Under the boardwalk) out of the sun
(Under the boardwalk) we'll be havin' some fun
(Under the boardwalk) people walking above
(Under the boardwalk) we'll be falling in love

Under the board-walk (board-walk!)

And I love you so.

Love me tender,
Love me true,
All my dreams fulfilled.
For my darlin I love you,
And I always will.

Love me tender,
Love me long,
Take me to your heart.
For it's there that I belong,
And well never part.

Love me tender,

Till the end of time.

Black Forest Trifles Recipe

Brownies:

2 ounces (60 grams) unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup (113 grams) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1 cup (200 grams) granulated white sugar
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/4 cup (35 grams) all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt

Cherries:
24 ounce (680 grams) jar of Morello Cherries in syrup
2 tablespoons Kirsch or Cherry Brandy
2 tablespoons (30 grams) white granulated sugar

Whipped Cream:
1 1/2 cups (360 ml) heavy cream
1 1/2 tablespoons (25 grams) white granulated sugar
1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Garnish:
Shaved or grated semi-sweet or milk chocolate

Brownies: Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C) and place rack in center of oven. Butter and flour an 8 inch (20 cm) square baking pan.
Melt the chocolate and butter in a stainless steel bowl placed over a saucepan of simmering water. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar. Then stir in the vanilla extract and eggs. Finally, add the flour and salt.

Pour into the prepared pan and bake for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack. When cooled, cut into 16 brownies.

Cherries: To make a sauce, drain the cherries, reserving the liquid. Place the liquid in a small saucepan, along with the Kirsch and sugar, and simmer for about five minutes or until the sauce is syrupy. Remove from heat and add the drained cherries. Let cool before making the trifles.

Whipped Cream: In the bowl of your electric mixer, or with a hand mixer, whip the cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.

To Assemble the Trifles: Take the brownies and cut them into small bite-sized pieces. Place a small handful of brownie pieces (about one brownie) in the bottom of each trifle glass. Next, place a spoonful of the cherries, and their juices, on top of the brownies. Place a large dollop of the whipped cream on top of the cherries. Repeat the layers, starting with the brownies. Cover and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours to allow the flavors to mingle.

Just before serving sprinkle each trifle with grated or shaved chocolate and top with a cherry.

Makes 8 - 1 cup (240 ml) servings. Eat in bed.

Happy Ending
