Gerber Daisies & Thoughts on Thursday!

sorry friends
today is a day of feeling overwhelmed
like there is not enough time
in the day - the week

to do what I want - need
to get done

i'm a positive person
hope for the best
believe in good vs. evil
the power of prayer

today is a tough day for me
blah
blah

so i'm working, really working on images
thoughts of things that bring me joy
it works for me... and i remember how blessed i am
i'm pushing, fighting, trying, losing, winning...
do you understand - are you having a day like me
what do you do?
Spring is coming... I pray it is soon!
gerbers, lol - i think of gerbers and a big hug from someone that cares

Thoughtful Thursday Elegance and Fairyland

Elegance definition

el·egance (el′ə gəns)
noun
the quality of being elegant; specif.,
dignified richness and grace, as of design
polished fastidiousness or refined grace, as in manners
clever aptness and simplicity
anything elegant
Etymology: Fr élégance < L elegantia
Elegance
by Lucille van Onselen-Zunckel

A Double Acrostic Poem in reverse

Elegantly turned out, so much style
Ladylike to the core, classic
Eau-de-cologne daintily applied, like poetry in motion
Gem was definitely of another era
Ariel another one, now, all agog
Naiad, the Faerie Queene
Casting their magic spells, ever graceful
Emerald is her name, very fashionable

I'm scooting around with the fairies today...have to run!
In search of my own elegance! Jennifer

Peeking through the snow....

"Spring is when you feel like whistling even with a shoe full of slush."
                   Doug Larson

It's spring fever. That is what the name of it is. And when you've got it, you want - oh, you don't quite know what it is you do want, but it just fairly makes your heart ache, you want it so!
                         Mark Twain

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden. Ruth Stout

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.      Anne Bradstreet

Gratitude....Thankfulness....The Power of Faith

When asked if my cup is half-full or half-empty my only response is that I am thankful I have a cup.

Sam Lefkowitz

I was concerned about finances...
who isn't?
but it's been
tight lately.

Positive: I have been selling a lot
of the cards I've designed and
new stores and galleries are buying my cards too.

Positive: John (my hubby) is still working
70 hours a week but he's getting a little more
in his paycheck.
My hard workin' truck drivin' man.

Positive: My son, Matt and his gf Connie,
are settled and working in Korea
 and enjoying themselves.
Their pics have been cool and
I will post them soon.

Negative & Positive: Autumn ( our mini Daschund)
is 6 months now and pees and poops outside
occasionally. She hasn't gone into "heat"
and despite tight funds...
we have an appointment at the vet.

Negative: A favorite student of mine
lost her father in a tragic Metro
accident this week. She has severe
health issues as does her mom.
This is always very sad but I
experienced the gleam in her eyes
when Dad would bring her lunch...
they had such a connection.
He was a sweet Dad, a nice, nice man.

I had a long talk with God that night.

Positive: I went for a haircut and my stylist
bought 8 of my latest cards which deducted $24
off my bill! And.. she invited me to go with her to a prayer
group she attends (something I've been looking for).

Is my cup half full or half empty? You know - I have faith.
I don't really ask myself that. I just put myself in God's hands.

Somehow...we have a good day and thing's work out.
