Sing It Loud - Sing It Proud!

oh happy day!
today and even yesterday were just super,
duper days! i laughed a lot. had fun with friends. the students were testing so the health room was very slow. i caught up on paperwork. worked on a new greeting card line i just designed and have sold quite a few.
i just feel filled with happiness.
i was riding in my car after work yesterday and having my
conversation with God.
the sun had just come out and i was saying
"thank you":
  • for the beautiful weather
  • for the huge smiles i kept having
  • students that had come into my life
  • new friends
  • summer trying to peek in
  • flowers popping everywhere
  • health
  • blogging buddies
  • art
  • music
I know I talk about happiness a lot. But I praise God in doing it. It's this burst I get - this pleasurable feel of gifts of feelings. I know it's His grace. So I turned the tunes up in my car and danced as much as was legal in my car... and kept the conversation going. I don't ever want to stop being grateful. I also hope it doesn't bore you. Just me being me.

giving myself the ok to be a healthy me.... and thinking of you flying!

so i said to myself...    self
you're not bathing suit ready
but who am i fooling, i wear one every summer
we're all talking about our "plan of action"
i'm asking GOD for HIS help
daily
i've gone down 4 jean sizes in 2 years
not too shabby ( the big butt is still there)
i'm giving myself the ok to not wear a bikini
for my boobs to not be where they used to be
to have a poof
i love the ocean and to swim regardless of what the label reads
so what if my beach chair sinks in the sand
summer IS my time of year
healthy is more important than skinny
i will not join a gym
i will exercise
i love yoga
i will never love working out
i'll drink more h2o
i'll laugh at life
i know what to eat (i prefer pizza, pasta, ice cream, vodka tonics)

treat myself to flowers once a week (or giving them to someone i love)
i work a full time and a part-time job
have a card business and a jewelry business
which i have yet to list on line
i'm looking for a reasonable apartment
(does that exist?) taking classes at night
all this should keep me away from the refrig right?

treat myself special (a massage, socks, a scarf)
because i am
and so are you (it can be an asian pear, a candle, etc.)
God gives us wings...
we have to believe we can fly.
what will help you through the day to a healthy life? tell me tell me!
                                                          jennifer

I believe I can fly
I believe I can touch the sky
I think about it every night and day
Spread my wings and fly away
I believe I can soar
I see me running through that open door
I believe I can fly

Forever Young - The Love Of Wonder

May the good Lord be with you
Down every road you roam

And may sunshine and happiness
surround you when you're far from home

And may you grow to be proud
Dignified and true
And do unto others
As you'd have done to you
    Be courageous and be brave
And in my heart you'll always stay
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
May good fortune be with you
May your guiding light be strong
Build a stairway to heaven
with a prince or a vagabond
And may you never love in vain
and in my heart you will remain
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young, Forever Young
Forever Young
Forever Young

And when you finally fly away
I'll be hoping that I served you well
For all the wisdom of a lifetime
No one can ever tell
But whatever road you choose
I'm right behind you, win or lose

Forever Young, Forever Young

Whether they are sixteen or seventy,
there is in every being's heart
the love of wonder,
the sweet amazement at the stars
and starlike things and thoughts,
the undaunted challenge of events,
the unfailing childlike appetite
for what is to come next,
and the joy and the game of life.

Recipe.................BEE Happee!

the girlfriends and I were talking
last night about recipes...
what fun we have - whatever we do
a day at the beach
talking about decorating or movies or music
travel - tv or for real
blogland too!
but we have a recipe...
it's happiness - do you have this one in your files?
Recipe For Happiness
2 Heaping cups of patience
1 Heart full of love
2 Hands full of generosity
Dash of laughter
1 Head full of understanding
Sprinkle generously with kindness
Add plenty of faith and mix well.
Spread over a period of a lifetime
And serve everyone you meet

Pottery Barn - What I want - What I need - What I can afford!

I love bottles and glassware - greens and blues. So when I came upon these looks on the pages of a Pottery Barn catalog -
I knew what I wanted!
simple clean lines, tones, shapes, spirit, style
I know I need a new look - to simply
add lots of white, cream, glass
that's what I dreamed of while flipping
the pages of The Pottery Barn catalog
and many blogs too
as to what I can afford...
well, let me say there were not
very many items available in said catalog
but then things have never been my
keys to happiness
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? John 3:17

I'm so happy, yes, I'm so happy, yes!

1. Summer isn't forever away.

2. Chocolate Chip Mint ice cream is in this world

3. I live close but not too close to a home-made ice cream shop

4. I remember wearing Earth shoes.

5. I don't wear Orthopedic shoes anymore.

6. My puppy pees and poops outside more than on the kitchen floor.

7. My 14 year old dog hasn't eaten my puppy.

8. I've learned to let things go.

9. I've learned to be so very, very thankful.

10. My husband gets sweeter every day.

And these are just today's happy, happys. (is that a word - who cares?)

What is your happy for this very moment? Hugs for YOU! Jennifer
