A Chick Trying To Keep Toasty!

bleh!

i know i say it over and over but with snow coming our way mid week... i do not like winter... bleh! if it snows a lot they'll call a "snow day" and I won't have to go in to work since I work in a high school health room = that's cool.

 i just saw a whole slew of baby chicks and ducks at a farm store this weekend and they were so sweet! all yellow and fluffy, peeping like mad. clustered together with children looking in the pens so enthralled at these babies. so was i.

they were much sweeter than these pictures!

then i've been looking for different ideas for a friend of mine for things to make with peeps...

i don't eat anything marshmallow...

but i thought this was very cool!

i'll be in the hospital/rehab during Easter break but i can do without the candy anyway.

and the true meaning of Easter is what it's all about for me. you might not see very many posts for a while...but i'll be thinking good thoughts. hugs, jennifer

Snowed In With Family...Devine!

This is my favorite view when I visit my

family at the Jersey shore...but not this Christmas!

we missed Matt and Connie this year....
but they're doing their thing and happy in South Korea! 

the girls have very cool boyfriends = nice too
 And then the snow began....

Poof! Here I am again! I dream in yellows and greens.....

 snow days were divine

i dreamed of spring

i thought about canning

sipping wine outside with friends

herbs and flowers

i cleaned lots of dust bunnies

and I thought of Easter bunnies!

No...Winter isn't over in Maryland!

no, sigh.... winter is far from over in Maryland! The top left photo is the view from my kitchen door with Spice ( 14 year old Chessie ), Thomas ( 10 year old Tiger cat wanting OUT ), 6 month old Autumn wanting Thomas OUT so she can torment him. They are predicting another 2 feet of snow beginning tomorrow morning. Have I mentioned I DO NOT LIKE WINTER!

I admit it.....

I don't like winter!

But I have to admit that if all the rain we've had in the last few days had been snow...it would have been quite a mess....wellllll = except = I work in a high school and we get SNOW DAYS sooooo I would have cuddled under the covers and gone right back to sleep with Thomas (my kitty), Autumn and Spice (my dogs). And they would have sighed and said "Mom, this is the bomb!"
