God's Fingerprint's Friday, It's a Long and Winding Road

I woke up with a clean slate - peace of mind for Friday...
packed up all my cares and woes
had my morning caffeine with my critters
started my car and headed to work
oops! wrong me...
that's more like it!
stopped for petrol $2.95 - and a cup of decaf
you know how you get a song in your mind and hum and sing & hum?
well mine is "Bye, Bye, Blackbird" Who knows why?
driving, humming, singing
splat - splash - crap
java on my freshly ironed crisp clean white blouse
directly over my right boob
soooooo...
I’m gonna pack up all my cares and woe,
Here I go singin' low,
Bye bye blackbird.

Where somebody waits for me,
Sugar is sweet, so is he,
Bye bye blackbird.

No one here can love or understand me,
Oh what hard luck stories, they all hand me.

Make my bed and light the light,
I’ll arive late tonight
Blackbird, blackbird, blackbird... bye bye

Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. James 5:13

You think the pre-holidays are wearing YOU out?!!

Yawn!

Wham!

Zap!

Kapow!

Snore!

Sniff!

Ok, you think you're worn out, exhausted, tired,overwhelmed..... well, last night I said "night Hon" to my hubby and headed up the stairs to bed. You see my son's wedding is now over, I had tons of returns, an order of cards to make for a client I love, allergy shots, Asthma kicking up, tons of sick students in the Health Room at work every day, blah, blah. Any whoo, I said "night Hon" and He replied "isn't it a little early, it's 6:30?"

What the heck!!

Leave your shoes at the door...by Momma Hey

HOUSE RULES

Welcome....
cuddle up for comfort
make yourself at home
Love, Momma Hey
When I was growing up, many moons ago - my mom was a clean nut.
No rings in the house - they made scratches on the furniture and marks on the refrigerator -
baths only, not showers - it would spot the tile,
no baking or frying - it made a mess,
NO SHOES ON IN THE HOUSE.
With a hubby who drives a concrete truck, three cats and two dogs on one acre in the country - everyone should take their shoes off and wipe their paws.
NO ONE DOES.
My son Todd has met and become engaged to a sweet and loving girl. Her name is Ravy - actually Sidaravy. Whenever I would call him, Todd would answer my call with "Hey, Mom" or "Hey, what's up?". One day Ravy asked how Hey was. Naturally Todd said "who" and she answered "Hey" - "who?" "hey" .... you get the drift ... until she explained "you know, your Mom - Momma Hey?". Hence the name I am now called aside from Jenn & Jennifer = Momma Hey.
Any whoooo - the story ends with the wedding coming up on December 5th and their buying a house in Annapolis.
One of their rules: NO SHOES ON IN THE HOUSE.
With pleasure I am buying myself a jazzy pair of slippers to keep in their closet. A new stage of our happy family. I think I'll buy a pair for my husband John too.
LOVE, Momma Hey

Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

huff, puff,

moan, groan,

sigh, cry

nothing
left
to
give...
zip nada nothing!
all I can say is that my day has been a
circus and I'm running on empty! The Health Room has been insane, I meet with my Financial Planner at 4:00, my husband doesn't want left overs and I have a puppy in training, laundry to do.
Have you ever had a day where a shower sounds like walking up the Steps of the
Empire State building?
Lord have mercy I'm beat!

Autumn is The Queen Bee!

autumn is in the house - in the basement

in the bathroom in the closet

in the cat food in my coffee cup
in the dishwasher in my magazines on the bed
under the bed on the dining room table under the sofa
AUTUMN IS IN THE HOUSE!

Funny or Not?

I'm told I have a great sense of humor...
I think it's true.... So when I was having my kidney removed and I updated my living will I had a simple request .... I asked my sons if I were to not make it of course I would I'm a person of faith baby... but I have always loved the song from WIZARD of OZ. So I asked my sons - my adult sarcastic, huge, take good care of their mom - sons, if they would play the song from the movie at the memorial.

Matt said "ding dong the witch is dead?"
and I said "Nooooooo!"
Todd said " We're off to see the Wizard?"
and I said "Nooooooo!"
The surgeons and anesthesiologists and nurses arrived and both my sons requested my kidney in a jar....oh yes they did! - off to surgery I went - with hugs from all -Now you answer me - do YOU think I have a sense of humor?
I love them so, my hubby too.

Long, Lean and In Love

I fell in love...shouldn't
have but I
did and he's HELL
on Wheels! He's Trouble
with a capital T. He's a
demon. He's a wanderer.
He's the reason they started the tv show "It's
Me or the Dog". His name is "PALMER".
And we love him. Our 13 year old "Annie" - the sweetest, most obedient, gentle natured Chesapeake Bay Retriever lost her battle with Cancer. Weak, yes .... I was weak. I thought our other 13 year old Chessie would be lonely. Actually, she and our 3 cats were quite content. I was nuts. I found him in one lapse of weakness on Delaware Puppy Rescue and he was mine. He terrorizes of family pets, runs away every chance he gets, barks at the wind and moon, humps my vacuum cleaner. But when he races to see me and cuddles around my knees at night ... I'm in love. You know - like a Mom with a her naughty little boy when he closes his eyes at night? Ahhhhhhh.
