The Yin and Yang of Thankfulness

Please take one moment, is someone you know in need of a kind word or thought?

Someone touched my heart today. Made me stop and think - then pray. I became aware of my many blessings. That Life isn't always easy. That God is ever present. There are unthinkable sorrows: the loss of a child, a husband, a grandparent, a job, health concerns, money worries, lack of health coverage. But always people reaching out in their own little way: a wish, a bible verse, a blog, a give away, passing the word, reading The Word. So if I may... I'd like to repeat a verse listed in another's blog, that stopped and made me think of others. I hope I can show one act of kindness and that I pray more often for others throughout my day. It's just a few heartbeats isn't it? Jennifer

For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.

Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?

The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me.'

Matthew 25:35-40
